Biographical Note

Liberty Hyde Bailey (1858–1954) was an American botanist and horticulturalist. He was a prolific writer, and he cofounded the American Society for Horticultural Science.

Scope and Contents Note

This collection consists of four handwritten noncontiguous pages (including a title page) of the manuscript of Bailey's The Garden of Bellflowers in North America, with Decorations (New York, MacMillan, 1953).
