The 17th Century Florilegia: Prints and Books

2 November 1964 – 31 March 1965

An exhibition of 17th century Florilegia (picture-books of garden flowers) and related painting and prints was on display at the Hunt Botanical Library until 31 March 1965. On display were 32 books, 75 prints and 34 paintings comprising works largely of the 16th and 17th centuries from England, France, Germany, Holland and Belgium. They represented aspects of baroque style. All materials shown were selections from the library's extensive collections.
