Homegrown: Pittsburgh Artists on Plant Subjects

17 April – 30 June 1972

This exhibition featured 18 Pittsburgh artists who worked in gouache, ink, oil, watercolor and woodcut to capture plant subjects. The artists were Bruce Carter, Peter A. Contis, Grete Evans, Connie Fox, Dona Groer, Susan Gurrentz, Henry Koerner, William Libby, Joanne Maier, Mary Shaw Marohnic, Norton Peterson, H. Douglas Pickering, Robert Schmalzried, Harry Schwalb, Gregory H. Smith, Anna Sunnergren, Susan Tucker and Douglas H. Wilson. Included were 40 artworks on loan from the artists and private collectors. A short brochure accompanied the exhibition.
