Containing color and black-and-white reproductions suitable for framing, this folio was produced to accompany an exhibition by 17 contemporary northeastern American printmakers. John V. Brindle (1911–1991, curator of art, 1961–1982) recounted in the introduction the "long and happy marriage" between plants and printmaking.
